Her Story

Shemayne?s Vision

  • A lovely alfresco for entertaining family and friends.
  • A traditional Balinese themed garden that is water efficient.
  • A small allocated area where children can play.

Tips and Facts

  • When unsure of what to do in a garden, drop down a mud map of what you wish to happen, this will inspire you to get started.
  • Mulching designated areas for garden beds and plants will help cut down weeds and prepare soils for when you are ready for planting.
  • What is needed most in this garden is an improvement in the soil. This can be achieved by using sulphur in order to get the pH levels on the right track.
  • Organic matter also greatly helps the soil, especially when applied every year.
  • To fit within a modern Bali theme, look at tropical frangipanis for height and colour.
  • Choose plants that create volume, such as the ?Bird of Paradise? and ?Dianellas.?
  • Outdoor furniture, sculptures and water features will assist in creating a tropical paradise.
