A good design is a fountain of a great garden but good construction really brings that plan to life so The Garden Company works closely with top designers to create cutting edge landscapes.
John Briggs and Dave Kerr are the men behind the business and together they have got 40 years of industry experience plus a big team of boys and their big boy’s toys to back them up.
Interview with Dave Kerr:
Melissa: So Dave what makes The Garden Company stand out?
Dave: We would like to think that we are one of the biggest landscape companies in Melbourne, residential that is. We can basically tackle anything that is outside, nothing is too big and nothing is too small.
Melissa: So if I am a client I don’t have to go out and get seven different trades people to get something done?
Dave: No, We are like an outdoor building company, so when you go to get your house built, you have one builder managing it, we manage the whole outside project.
The Garden Company has a team that has experts in every area from Horticulturalists to rock work and paving specialist’s even irrigation and lighting experts, so they construct every element of the garden to perfection from start to finish. The Horticulturalists work with the garden designer to assemble the perfect collection of plants chosen for their beautiful textures, colours and shapes.
Building a pool or natural water feature into a landscape requires a lot of skill because you want it to compliment the house and garden design, in fact it can become a real feature so the guys also developed a pool company which specialises in pool design and construction to make water an integral part of the garden.
The Garden Company are members of the landscape industries association of Victoria, in other words it is like an industry stamp of approval and they have the accolades to prove it, taking out top awards and the Melbourne International flower and Garden Show and other industry events.
The pleasure of having a garden that is well designed is being able to get out and enjoy it, and it isn’t always easy to do it yourself. So The Garden Company are taking that role so that all you have to do is sit back and enjoy your very own styled garden and enjoy it in good company.
