Victa Vac and Blow

Episode: #4 14/04/07
Presenter: Phil Dudman

Cleaning up can be tedious work and there are much better things to be doing but if you like to keep your place looking spic and span the Phil has a great little machine that will give you much more time to spend on the things you enjoy.

It is the brand new vac and blow electric from Victa and it cleans up almost anything in its path. It is just the thing for sorting out any hard surface around the home including paving, decking, driveway, workshops and even some lawns.

This first thing you will notice about the unit is that it is light so you will find it really comfortable and easy to use. It is on wheels too so it is quite manoeuvrable and easy to get around those hard to get at places.

It is powered by electricity so there is no handling of any oil or smelly fuel. Starting it up is just a matter of flicking the switch on the handle and you are away.

At the front is a high velocity blower that is set low at the optimum angle so it quickly drives leaves and other debris just where you want it. A simple flick of the switch and it will turn into a very efficient outdoor vacuum. It swallows up all sorts of stuff; leaves big and small and even bulky things like twigs.

If you have pets, then the vac and blow will clean up all the fallen hair with ease. All that sand and dirt that collects up in tight corners is no problem at all.

The motor itself is a powerful 1500watt so it is really built to go, but if you have a look at what is inside you will see a tough little metal impeller which turns and shreds all the material into lovely mulch for your garden.

All the debris is sent up to the light weight catcher bag at the back. Removing the catcher bag is very easy and is just a matter of moving the locking piece out of position and off comes the bag.

One of the great things about the Victa Vac and Blow is its affordable price. You are looking at around $229 and when you think about its sheer power, versatility and the time it will save you around the garden it really is very good value.
