Owner and wine Paddy Preston has many reasons to be proud as he is one of New Zealand?s most awarded producers.
He was always interested in making home-made wines so he and his son decided they would try making great wines and it has turned out to be very popular. There are some real family connections as his great grandfather?s name was Mills. He was a pioneer in the early days, a gold miner and a sea captain so they decided to name the winery after him.
