Western Australia has some of the least fertile soils in the world and we still manage to have some fantastic gardens. Sue thinks it is because we understand the importance of using products that save water, and help improve the fertility of the soil.

Sometimes we don?t get it right and the number one reason why plants die in summer is because of a lack of water. In the hot months if you get all the soil conditions right, plants will thrive, because the soil is warm and the rule is put 90 % of your budget, when it comes to plants and the garden, into the soil.

Moisture Worx Plus is a fine by product of coal which has recently been released with great results. It will hold moisture around the plants roots and when incorporated into the soil along with soil improver the results speak for themselves. It absorbs many times its weight in water and contains essential nutrients that are available to the plants. It is even safe for native plants and reduces leaching of fertilisers.

You can mix it with a granular wetting agent and use it on pots. Scratch into the surface and water in well.

An essential part of a great garden design is a lawn.
