With the world so worried about climate change, it is also a worry as to what sort of an environment our children will grow up in, particularly when they are so removed from nature by computers and things like play station.

That is why the Yates Cool kids Grow program is so refreshing and the kids from Laingholm Primary School have designed and built a beautiful garden. Irene Van Dyke is not just a netball champion she is also an ambassador for the Yates Cool kids Grow program. She has been involved since the year 2000 and has enjoyed every minute of it.

The program has grown really fast with about 1900 registered schools. The kids designed the gardens all by themselves and it really incorporates the community as well.

It is great to see what can happen when everybody comes together to support kids and what they can achieve.
