Gardeners are the easiest people to give presents to because something for the garden always makes them happy. Judy puts together a Yates garden pack for green-fingered friends.

Start with one of the Yates Tuscan pots and the matching saucer. Judy picked a Christmassy green but there are lots of other colours to choose from or you can pick another sort of pot. Judy wouldn?t recommend anything too heavy, though. Remember you have got to carry it full of goodies and put it underneath the Christmas tree!

Plants grow so fast at this time of year they need to be well fed so included is some fertilisers. Citrus food is for the lemon tree and Dynamic Lifter is for just about everything else in the garden. Feed pot plants with Once A Year pellets, and fast growing flowers with something that can be watered on.

Unfortunately summer is also the time when there are lots of bugs around so Judy also includes a couple of low toxic solutions. Pyrethrum is a natural pest control that is made from a daisy flower and Natrasoap is an organic spray that works by smothering and drying out insect pests, not poisoning them.

Weeds also grow well in summer so Judy has added an easy to apply Zero Glyphosate trigger pack. Squirt onto weeds and they will be dead in a couple of weeks, without leaving behind anything nasty in the soil.

Gardening is easier with good tools, which is why a brand new fork, trowel and a sharp pair of secateurs are also included.

Basil is a summer favourite so Judy is putting in a Grow Your Own tomato and basil kits. It has got everything: the pot, the potting mix, the basil seeds and the fertiliser and it is the perfect size to go on a windowsill.

Finish up by adding a Garden Gurus newspaper and wrapping the whole thing in cellophane and adding a big Christmas bow.
