Pots are ideal for creative spring displays. The wonderful thing about containers is they can be replanted with a whole new colour scheme next season.

A combination that is definitely worth copying, is a classic oriental style pot from Northcote Pottery, which comes in stylish black and white. The pot has a traditional shape, ideal for a classical-looking display.

Mel used lavender coloured Nemesias for a bit of height at the centre and then surrounded the using Panolas, which have the larger flowers of pansies and the free flowering characteristics of violas.

The Night and Day panola produces masses of flowers right through until summer and as the perfect finishing touch, use Dichondra ?Silver Falls?. It is very drought and heat tolerant and beautifully cascades down the sides of the pot.

It is a really pretty combination for brightening up any patio or balcony.
