Episode: 1
Presenter: Matt Leacy
Air Date: 7 March 2026
Matt looks at one of his favourite climbing vines and shows you can do to help it thrive.
- Beaumontia grandiflora also known as Herald’s Trumpet, is a beautiful climbing vine that comes from the same family as the Franjipani.
- If yours begins to get some yellowing and curling leaves, it’s important to keep an eye on it by cutting it back at the base to improve airflow and reduce humidity.
- It’s a good idea to step back once you make a cut to ensure you don’t go too far and ruin the aesthetics.
- It’s also worth fertilising the plant with Troforte M All Purpose, as this will provide the nutrients it may be lacking for the next 3-4 months.
- This fertiliser slowly releases essential natural minerals that most plants require and will help the plant thrive to the end of Summer and Autumn.
- Ensure that you water it thoroughly to activate the microbes.
