Waldecks Kingsley
Episode: #14 23/12/06
Presenter: Sue McDougall
All of us have someone in the family who has everything and is impossible to buy a gift for. Sue thinks you can?t go far wrong with a living plant. They will be still going strong long after the Christmas tree has been chopped up into mulch. If you are looking for some last minute living gift ideas to pick up tomorrow then your local garden centre is the first stop.
It is the busiest time of the year for garden centres and the first thing you will notice is the masses of colour greeting you, you will be spoilt for choice. Waldecks Garden Centres are geared up for this time of the year and realise that ready wrapped gifts, are what last minute gift buyers are looking for.
Gift wrapping service is available and by the end of Christmas these guys will really know how to make a plant look fantastic.
Nothing is more Christmas than the traditional Poinsettia (Euphorbia pulcherrima cv.). No table is complete without a bowl of the spectacular brightly coloured bracts. They will keep their colour for months.
Dendrobium Orchid?s (Dendrobium Hybrid cv.) look really exotic but in fact they are one of the easiest orchids to grow. They will brighten up any indoor space.
If you happen to have some time to redo the garden over the next few weeks take a look at the stunning Atlantis pots. They have been specially treated to give a fantastic texture and appearance. They can be used in a courtyard and are ideal for indoor locations.
If you have been chasing the perfect pot for a water feature, then the Atlantis pots might be for you. The rustic natural finish will compliment a modern or traditional garden. Some are set up with the fountain nozzles all ready to go all you need to do is add water.
Ian Johnstone has been through many Christmases at Waldecks and thinks it is such a great feeling all the stock is looking brilliant, everyone comes in happy at this time of the year and they all love it!
For all those people who don?t know what to buy their family or friends then you cant go past a Waldecks gift voucher and it is redeemable at all stores.
Waldecks Kingsley would love to take this opportunity just to say thankyou so much to all of their customers, both old and new for their support and have a happy and safe Christmas and new year.
Just one small thing, Waldecks close on Christmas day but are back again on the 27th of December. This is when people have a chance to get into the garden and work off the extra calories!
