Gardeners are a tough and resilient bunch with most of Australia in some form of water restrictions. We are finding new and ingenious ways to grow our favourite plants and veggies.
When your soil gets too dry it can become hydrophobic, which means your soil is water repellent and won?t absorb any water, making it very hard to re wet. The water just runs off. Well there is a solution.
It is Waterwise soil wetter. This wetting agent helps improves water penetration into your soil and also helps to hold onto it longer. Just apply either the granules or liquid around the root zone of your plants and re-mulch.
Gardening in pots and container has always been fashionable, but now with water restrictions it is a great way to grow your favourable flowing plants and herbs. Pohlmans Stak ?n Grow pots are the latest trend in gardening. They are very simple and easy to use.
They can be stacked up to 6 high and can be filled with any plant you choose, the possibilities are endless. The secret to keep your plants looking good, is in the bottom of the pot; the Aqua Gel Mat. It holds up to 600ml of water so why not check them out when you are next your local garden centre.
