Weeds in lawn are a right pain in the butt and gets serious with the dreaded bindi, which has a sharp and vicious prickle in early summer. Not all gardeners want to tackle lawn weeds with chemicals so here a few tools to help you achieve a weed free lawn.

If bending is a bit hard then the latest invention from Fiskars, the UpRoot Weeder is the answer to a gardener?s dream. It looks pretty industrial and it is supremely effective yet the modern materials of nyglass and aluminium in the construction means it is rugged and strong yet light in weight.
The way it works is to position the stainless hardened steel jaws over the weed and push it into the soil. Put your foot on the lever and rock the tool in the direction of your foot. Out comes the weed and you can then position it over the bin and pop it off with the handy dislodger.
