If you are looking to add some colour to your garden why not go down to your local garden centre and have a look at the Asia and Australasia native, Ardissia Crenulata.
They grow beautifully in our climate and really love a part shaded position. The bright red berries hang off the plant for months and contrast brilliantly against the dark green foliage.
The Ardessia can either be planted in a pot or grown as a hedge.
