Western Australia has some amazing features throughout the state and the most unique flora in the world. It absolutely stunning especially around wild flower season each year, but if you can't make it up north and you want to experience a little bit of it yourself then head to Kings Park. The glass-bridge and walkway is one of the latest attractions at Kings Park and it offers some of the most spectacular views of one of the worlds most beautiful cities. As you work your way over the bridge and into the park you will find some of the most spectacular flowering plants. Wax flowers are one the most popular international exports, revered across the globe for their perfect flowers. They are born in mass clusters and are available in a wide selection of colours. They are considered one of the most exotic flower species available in countries like Japan, China and Korea where they are sold for premium prices. The kangaroo paws domain was once only in bushland but today its one of the most popular potted plants in the world. They are gaining favour in Australia and there is a series called bush-gems which are ideal for home gardens. The kangaroo paw is tough, water wise and amazing in the spring time. If you are looking for some native landscape inspiration it is hard to go past the south west garden, located on Fraser Avenue. Here you will find a variety of stunning native such as the Scarlet Honey Murtle, the Black Kangaroo Paw and the Mangles Kangaroo Paw which is more easily recognised as the West Australian floral emblem. If you are looking for some more colour then it is hard to go past the West Australian native, Everlastings. They use the winter rainfalls to grow and are quite happy to grow in sandy soils.
